Visa Sponsorship Jobs in Canada (Positive LMIA Employers)
Under Canada's Temporary Foreign Worker Program, many employers need a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) before hiring someone from abroad.
ESDC publishes the employers that received a positive LMIA as open data. It is the closest thing Canada has to a public list of sponsoring employers.

How Relokit helps
- Relokit loads ESDC's positive-LMIA employer list and checks every company in your Canada search against it.
- Employers with a positive LMIA are flagged, showing they have recently been approved to hire foreign workers.
- Use “sponsors only” to narrow the list down to them.

Good to know
- A positive LMIA doesn't guarantee a work permit. IRCC makes that decision separately.
- Some routes don't need an LMIA at all (for example some intra-company transfers and trade-agreement permits), so an employer missing from the list may still be able to hire you.
- The list is published periodically, so very recent approvals may not appear yet.
Questions
What is an LMIA?
An assessment by ESDC that hiring a foreign worker won't harm the Canadian labour market. A positive LMIA lets the employer support a work-permit application.
Do all Canadian work permits need an LMIA?
No. Some categories are LMIA-exempt, which is why Relokit treats the list as a strong signal rather than the full picture.
